A publicação de textos na Revista de Direito das Sociedades (RDS) depende de parecer prévio favorável da Comissão de Revisão, para verificação do cumprimento dos correspondentes critérios de publicação.
A Comissão de Revisão é auxiliada por árbitros que avaliam, em condições de anonimato, os trabalhos que lhes sejam remetidos para o efeito (peer review). Este sistema não se aplica às notas legislativas e doutrinárias com uma extensão máxima de 2.000 palavras, às anotações jurisprudenciais e às recensões.
Os artigos a publicar na RDS devem:
(i) Cumprir os critérios de elevada qualidade científica, incluindo rigor, clareza e fundamentação científica, fixados no Estatuto Editorial da Revista;
(ii) Ser inéditos;
(iii) Cumprir o limite de 90.000 caracteres (cerca de 30 páginas), incluindo espaços e notas de rodapé, salvo casos de excecional qualidade científica, conforme decidido pela Comissão de Revisão;
(iv) Incluir os nomes dos autores no corpo do texto em caracteres normais e os referidos em notas de pé-de-página em versalete;
(v) Incluir os títulos de monografias, obras coletivas e revistas em itálico e os de textos inseridos em revistas e em obras coletivas entre aspas, em caracteres normais;
(vi) Incluir resumos em português e em inglês, com 500 caracteres cada.
Os textos a incluir na secção "Breves Comentários", incluindo breves anotações de jurisprudência e recensões devem cumprir os critérios definidos para os artigos, salvo quanto ao limite de caracteres, que é de 25.000, e à extensão dos resumos, de 150 caracteres cada.
Os textos devem ser submetidos em versão final. Só há umas provas antes da publicação, na qual se admitem correções de gralhas, mas não a introdução de texto novo.
Os autores, os árbitros e os membros da Comissão de Revisão da Revista de Direito das Sociedades estão sujeitos ao correspondente Código de Ética.
The Revista de Direito das Sociedades (RDS) is open to the submission of articles, recensions, annotations to case law, as well as short texts on new laws and legal literature.
The texts are evaluated by the Revision Commission in accordance with the Publication Criteria disclosed in the website.
The RDS is subject to a double-blind peer review process, which guarantees authors and arbitrators anonymity. The process will not be applied to short texts on new laws and legal literature - with a maximum extension of 2,000 words - to annotations to case law and recensions.
The conduct of the authors, arbitrators and members of the Revision Commission of the RDS is regulated by the corresponding Code of Ethics, in accordance with the core principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
The texts must be sent to the email address rds.submissoes@fd.ulisboa.pt with the subject "Submission of text to the RDS".
Review and publication of submitted papers
- The papers deemed eligible for double blind peer review should be sent to the following email address:rds.submissoes@fd.ulisboa.pt, with the subject "Submission of Paper for the RDS"
- All contact between the Author and the RDS should be exclusively held through the aforementioned email address.
- The submitted papers are assessed by the Revision Commission in accordance with the Publication Criteria disclosed on the website in order to assess their formal and substantive adequacy.
- The Author is informed of the content of the preliminary decision by the Revision Commission, within 10 days from submission. Even if the preliminary decision is positive, it is not binding upon the Commission or the RDS.
- Following the preliminary assessment, the paper is sent, depending on its subject, to two qualified Arbitrators, with the utmost respect for the anonymity of the Author.
- The Arbitrators should return the Assessment Form within 45 days of the paper's distribution.
- The Author is informed, by the Revision Commission, of the content of the decision:(i)recommended for publication with no reservations; (ii) recommended for publication with reservations; or (iii) not recommended for publication.
- In case the paper isrecommended for publication with reservations,the Author has 30 days to amend the paper accordingly.
- The Revision Commission assesses whether the assessments suffice.
- In case the paper isrecommended without reservations, the Author will have 10 days to proof-read and send a final draft.
